health careers website designed to explain the array of health
professions and provide easy access to students seeking information
about health careers. This website is a joint initiative involving
national foundations, professional associations, health career
advisors, educational institutions, and college students.
Summer Medical and Dental Education Program

SMDEP is a free (full tuition, housing, and meals) six-week
summer academic enrichment program that offers freshman and
sophomore college students intensive and personalized medical
and dental school preparation.

Run by AAMC (Association of American Medical Colleges), AspiringDocs.org
represents all 126 accredited medical schools that grant the
M.D. degree and more than 400 major teaching hospitals in
the United States. The AAMC also administer the MCAT®
exam and manage the application process for medical school.

Mentoring in Medicine finds and nurtures socioeconomically
disadvantaged students in urban schools from third grade on
to help them develop the tools necessary to successfully achieve
