Significant Professional or Academic Accomplishments:
Christina Apatow graduated from SUNY New Paltz in May 2011
with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. After her first year
of study she participated in the 2008 AMP/CSTEP Summer Research
Program working on Intelligent Photovoltaic Battery Charger.
That same summer she had an internship with The Solar Energy
Consortium. The following two summers she interned with Lockheed
Martin in NJ and VA and then continued as a Graduate Intern
in CA. Christina founded the student chapter of SWE during
her first year, was part of the Solar Car Team and Eta Kappa
Nu Honor Society.She was involved in STEM outreach and recruitment
and was featured on the front page of the business section
for the Poughkeepsie Journal during Engineers Week speaking
to a group of middle and high school students.
Christina began her M.S. in Electrical Engineering at Stanford
University in Fall 2011 where she has been a Research Assistant
and Teaching Assistant and has consulted for various startup
companies. She is currently a Research Assistant in the Transformative
Learning Technology Lab and leads the Spatial Computing Group.
She plans to graduate in June 2013 and remain on the west
coast where she is currently interviewing for professional
positions.
