Significant Professional or Academic Accomplishments:
German Flete earned a B.S. in Computer Science from SUNY College
Old Westbury in 2007. After graduation, he was hired by Brookhaven
National Labs where he had interned during his senior year
through an arrangement between the CSTEP/ AMP programs and
the BNL Education Office. German, currently employed as a
senior applications analyst at BNL, was honored with a BNL
Spotlight Award during the 2008 fiscal year for extending
“extraordinary efforts in response to the needs of their
departments or divisions.” He has returned to his alma
mater to present at the annual SUNY Old Westbury STEP Career
Day representing occupations in the computer science field.
