Significant Professional or Academic Accomplishments: Sybil Andrieux graduated May 2010 from SUNY College Old Westbury with a B.S. in biological sciences. She has participated in the following research programs at the undergraduate level:

  • (MHIRT) Minority and Health Disparities International Research Training Program NY, NY and France Sept 2009- July 2010
  • Researcher Honors Undergraduate Research Training Program (COR) Career Opportunities in Research Old Westbury, NY June 2007-July 2009
  • Researcher (REU) Research Experience for Undergraduates in Animal Behavior at Indiana University Bloomington, IN May-August 2009

During her years at Old Westbury, Sybil received several awards including:

  • Academic Achievement in Research Honors Award at SUNY College Old Westbury graduation ceremony 2010
  • Certificate of Participation for scholarly achievement and participation in SUNY Old Westbury’s “Research Day”-April 2010
  • Northeast Regional Undergraduate and Graduate student Sigma Xi Poster Conference winner of outstanding Poster award—April 2010

As an undergraduate, she engaged in two internships: one at Brookhaven National Laboratory, and one at SUNY College of Optometry in Manhattan. She has presented at conferences as in undergraduate as well as at the graduate level and has written abstracts for those presentations.

Since graduation Sybil has been named a GRAD-PREP Scholar at Wright State University 2010-2011 where she is a non-degree graduate researcher in Pharmacology and Toxicology.
