American Hispanic Latino Festival

Mohawk Valley Latino Association’s Annual American Hispanic Latino Festival

MVCC STEP and CSTEP members volunteered for the Mohawk Valley Latino Association’s annual American Hispanic Latino Festival on Sunday, August 26, 2012. The daylong event featured dancing, entertainment, ethnic food, raffles, speakers and community resource booths. Student volunteers assisted with many facets of the event, from set up to selling raffle tickets, but, very importantly, manned the STEP/CSTEP Outreach Booth. The students gave information and “goodies” to festival attendees with the hopes of increasing knowledge of STEP/CSTEP in the local Hispanic Latino community.
