A highlight of the event was a keynote and coffeehouse by Freeman A. Hrabowski, president of University of Maryland, Baltimore County.

McNair Scholars who presented at the conference were Jose Alejandro, Shaneequa Castle, Terry Cox, Tiara Davis, Star-Quana Jackson, Omaru Kabia, Marilyn Limon, Emmanuel Moreno and Fatima Sall. University Fellow Alexis Dorsey also gave a research presentation, and CSTEP participants in attendance were Andre Chavez, Matthew Dudley, and Scarlett Nieves.
