SUNY Potsdam Honors
CSTEP and Teacher Opportunity Corps Graduates

The SUNY Potsdam Collegiate Science and Technology Entry
Program and the Teacher Opportunity Corps recently honored
more than 30 graduates at a reception at the home of Christine
and John Lancaster.
Graduating CSTEP seniors recognized for completion of their
degree programs included:
- Teresa Cain of Brooklyn, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree
in sociology
- Dannielle Kreider of Potsdam, earning a Bachelor of Arts
degree in childhood/early childhood education, and
- Karrie Marvin of Binghamton, earning a Bachelor of Arts
degree in anthropology.
Attending TOC graduates included:
- Audrianna Vahue of Rochester, completing the Bachelor
of Arts degree in childhood/early childhood education
- Shaneah Daise of Brooklyn, completing the Master of Science
of Teaching degree in childhood education
- Shelese Dupree of Albany, completing the Master of Science
of Teaching degree in mathematics, and
- Latesha Fussell of Brooklyn, completing the Master of
Science in Teaching degree in childhood education.
A number of CSTEP and TOC graduates who were not able to
attend the ceremony were also recognized for their achievements.
Each CSTEP and TOC graduate invited a faculty or staff member
who had been significant to their academic success to share
in the celebration.
Dr. Margaret Madden, provost and vice president of academic
affairs, participated in the event along with Dr. Peter Brouwer,
dean of The School of Education and Professional Studies,
William Morris, dean of students, and Sheila Marshall, director
of the Center for Diversity, as well as the students’
invited guests.
Provost Madden congratulated the graduates and thanked the
faculty and staff guests for their encouragement and support
of the graduates. TOC program Director Diana Fisher and CSTEP
program Director Sean Partridge expressed their appreciation
to the Lancasters for hosting the graduate reception for the
fourteenth year. All wished the graduates continued success
in their future graduate studies and professional careers.

Office of Higher Education, K-16 Initiatives and Access Programs
Collegiate and Pre-Professional Programs Unit and Teacher
Development Programs Unit sponsor the CSTEP and TOC programs.
