About this Event: Sixteen teams featuring
80 high school students from around the state competed Saturday
in the STEP (Science and Technology Entry Program) Regional
Science Bowl. The Science Bowl is a "Jeopardy"-style
contest in which teams compete in several rounds. Each squad
is mentored by representatives of a dozen institutions, including
Union College, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, University
at Albany, Fulton Montgomery Community College, University
of Buffalo and Rochester Institute of Technology.
This is the third straight year Union is hosting the competition,
now in its 25th year.

Teams from SUNY Fredonia and Union College face off during
the STEP Regional Science Bowl at Union College in Schenectady,
New York, Saturday February 11, 2012. The Union College Team
2 competed in the challege round to make a small rocket racer.
